HCJUNCTION

BUSINESS INCUBATOR

Our business incubator program is a unique program that works with select startups to help them launch their business by providing resources, community and microlending programs.

At the moment, our business incubator program is currently administered in English. It is our intent to expand into other languages as soon as possible.

Our business incubator program is developed and offered in partnership with GMTA: Great Minds Think Alike LLC, a business strategy and development firm. Visit www.officialgmta.com to learn more about GMTA. In the meantime, below is an overview of the business incubator program.

STEP 1: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

This program is for you if:

  • You or one of the Founders is from an indigenous culture.

  • Your idea or business is for-profit. Our intent is to promote and encourage self-sustainable organizations that do good.

  • Your idea or business is values based, socially conscious, and directly or indirectly positively impacts your community or the world.

  • You believe in your idea and are committed to it.

  • You are self-motivated.

  • You believe that businesses and commerce can have a positive impact on the world and local communities.

  • You are interested in always learning and expanding your knowledge.

  • You are committed to investing the time and creativity to bring your idea or business to fruition.

  • Your business/idea observes and respects human rights.

  • Your business/idea observes and respects gender and ethnic equality.

  • Your business/idea is committed to honorable labor practices, wages and benefits.

STEP 2: COMMUNITY & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT RESOURCES

This program begins with community -and- turning your idea into a business plan -and- beginning to develop and gather all the pieces that you will need to start servicing clients:

  • We do this through community gatherings -and- 1:1 business development sessions that provide you the information, tools and feedback you need.

  • Cost: no cash cost. The cost is your time and effort. We take participation seriously. Which mean, at our discretion, if you are not making this a priority then we may excuse you from the program at any time.

  • Community: since a significant portion of the program involves community gatherings, you understand that each individual has their own experience and perspective that may be different from yours. So, while this group is for “like intentioned” individuals, that does not always mean everyone is “like minded”.

STEP 3: PROOF OF CONCEPT & ESTABLISHING A SCALABLE FOUNDATION

The last part of the program is supporting you to:

  • have a viable proof of concept of your product or service that is ready for clients/customers;

  • establish a proper business foundation for your business to continue to scale and pivot as needed in its early years; and

  • determine what are the core next steps to getting your business to the next level -and- identifying the resources and dependencies needed.
