INSPIRATION

A REMINDER THAT YOU ARE A CREATOR

“Everything you see was once someone's imagination”

~W. Blake

While many people look at this quote as an inspiring quote and it is inspiring; but at the same time this quote is also a fact.

Literally everything you use and eat, and drink came from someone's imagination or curiosity.

So stop doubting yourself and get to creating.

Be Inspired

  • SARA BLAKELY

Click the button below to hear her story.

What do we love about her story:

Realistically, there have been other women who have cut off the bottom of their hosiery and it is likely that the idea crossed one of their minds that maybe this could be something others would like. But what likely happened is either:

    (A) the voice of doubt in their head quickly shut down the idea, -OR- (B) they told someone and that person said it was not a good idea or possible or someone would have created this already or that cant be patented because hosiery already exists and this is not unique.

What makes Sara different is she said, let me just try. And that try turned into her becoming a self-made billionaire that has built a business in her own way, and she didn’t have to minimize herself or compromise herself or change herself throughout the journey.

We are sure there is a voice in your head that is saying "yeah but ....." and we just want to say that voice is irrelevant. We are here to just try and let’s see where your idea/inspiration can lead to.

  • Masayoshi Son

Click the button below to hear his story.

What do we love about his story:

He wanted to create abundance while he was in college and asked his friends how do I legally make $10,000 per month. People around him did not believe it was possible and he did it anyway.

Beginning with just a few moments everyday dedicated to creating something out of nothing.

He did not let other's limited mindset influence his mindset that believed it was possible to invent something that could lead to abundance.

We are sure there is a voice in your head that is saying "yeah but ....." and we just want to say that voice is irrelevant. We are here to just try and let’s see where your idea/inspiration can lead to.

  • MOSES WEST

Click the button below to hear his story.

What do we love about his story:

So many people are focused on the crisis and not the solution and here is Moses who said something can be done about this.

He did not worry how practical it seems. And he used discipline and focus to see his project come to fruition.

He did not let other's limited mindset influence his mindset that believed it was possible to invent something that could lead to providing more of a natural resource for his community and the broader world.

We are sure there is a voice in your head that is saying "yeah but ....." and we just want to say that voice is irrelevant. We are here to just try and let’s see where your idea/inspiration can lead to. iption goes here

resources

  • It is a good idea to subscribe to your country or location’s patent and trademark office.

In the United States, the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office) offers free trainings and resources. You can visit their website HERE.

  • There are a number of manufacturing resources to bring your idea to fruition. Here are just a few:

    • Pietra is a platform where you can find factories to work with. You can visit their website HERE.

    • A good resource for learning about opportunities is the Women in Manufacturing podcast. Here is one episode with engineer and entrepreneur Cynthia Andela who created a machine in different sizes that converts glass bottles into sand, whether for a home or a business. You can listen to the episode HERE.

    • Zhou Qunfei, Founder of Lens Technology. Ms. Zhou’s story is truly inspirational. She started on the factory floor and had difficult beginnings. At 22, she decided to pursue an idea that has now led to her being a billionaire. Visit her Wikipedia page HERE.

    • Inventor Akinori ITO created a machine that reverts plastic back to oil. Him and his team devised the technology to convert discarded plastics back into oil. “One kilogram of plastics, if burned, can produce 3 kilograms of CO2. When reprocessed by the machine, that one kilogram of plastic can yield up to one liter of oil.” You can watch this inspiring video of him talking about his invention HERE on YouTube.

    • Check back here for updates on more inspiration.

    • We recommend signing up for the U.S. Census Bureau’s mailing list which has great information on data from basic demographic data to consumer data to manufacturing data, residential sales, import and exports, etc. Here is a sample bulletin they send out: HERE. You can register on their website for their newsletter HERE.
