Nɔvinye’s Hands translates to My sibling’s hands.

The hand does and represents so many things: “helping hand”, “comforting hand”, etc.

This organization is a community of service providers that provide services to support you and the community’s needs.

We are expressing that we are all part of a community and we are all recipients and contributors to these communities.

This service intends to be a trustworthy service that positively contributes to the community.

It really does take a village.

This service is for diasporans anywhere so that they have a resource.

You can use us to find someone who speaks your language and who is community-minded and you pay them for their service.

For example:

• you moved to another country without family and you are attending university but want someone to discuss career options with, someone to review your resume, and someone to help you find and review prospective job options – then you can hire one of our qualified service providers here.

• OR - you moved to another country but your fluency is still in progress and you want help navigating some government or official documents or forms.

• OR- if you moved to the U.S. and have family back-home in Ghana and you want someone reliable to help you research something that your family has not been able to do but you need the information (either for them or for you) – then you can hire one of our qualified service providers here.

The purpose is to optimize and use the resources and skills within our communities and build each other up.

This service is not a service if you are looking for a product like a shirt, rather it is more about services that can assist in your quality of life or the quality of life for your loved ones.

You are able to call and discuss your needs or ask questions before signing up for the service so we can help you get familiar. We can do video calls so you can put a face to the service and learn more about how we operate and answers your questions.

HOW IT WORKS & SETTING EXPECTATIONS

We are not at the level of Uber or any other app you are familiar with that gives instant gratification. The purpose of our organization is to provide thoughtful quality services for you and your loved ones. So it is possible it may take time to get you connected with a service provider.

This is not our service providers sole source of income so they balance providing their services with their other obligations and we want to make sure they are fully present and available when it comes time to provide the services for you.

If you are looking for an immediate service then we are likely not for you as a first time user.

OVERVIEW OF THE GENERAL PROCESS

• Review the list of services and select the service you want.

• Fill out the form for the service

• Fill out contact information

• We will reach out to you at the contact information you provided so we can schedule a call with you to confirm what your needs are and answer any questions you have.

• For services that are for someone else then we do require an exchange of pictures of the recipient of the service and we will provide a picture of the service provider.

• If all goes well, we will confirm that the service provider is available.

• We will send you the link to check out for the services.
